Joe's Blog: Ghost Joe

Yep – I run with the nerd herd. Yep – everybody makes fun of me for it. (Except Norrie. I think she likes it – and I kind of like that she'd never tell me that herself.) The thing about being a nerd, a goober, a techie is that what it really means is that you like to learn stuff. So yeah, I'm a geek. I listened in biology, because I thought it was cool. I'm a little sad that we don't go to school anymore. There, I said it. Sue me. So … guess who has a book about entomology? Guess who spent last night reading about butterflies? Here's what I think: So I have this ghost. We'll call him Joe, because apparently he looks just like me. Ghost Joe told Julia: "The monarch will be crowned." And just before that, monarch butterflies were all over the dome. A monarch butterfly is orange. And it was named by early American settlers – after a prince. William of Orange – who later became the king of England. So then … I don't know what. One step at a time. When you've got your own ghost, things can get a little overwhelming. Even if you're the one that everybody thinks is going to figure all of this out.
