In case you've spent the last couple months living under a rock—or hiking the Rockies—then you're probably counting down the days until The Great Indoors, a new CBS sitcom that explores workplace wildlife, premieres on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 8:30/7:30c following The Big Bang Theory.

The comedy stars Joel McHale (Community, Talk Soup) as Jack Gordon, a world-renowned adventurer and reporter at an oudoor magazine, who returns from an exotic expedition only to find out his publication has gone digital.

Not only is this mountain man forced to live in office captivity as head of the magazine's content department, but he also has to learn the new and unfamiliar custom of the Millennials who report to him.

Jack's wide-eyed, bushy-tailed coworkers include a slew of interesting personalities, including Clark (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who can't believe he gets to work alongside THE Jack Gordon, much to Jack's dismay.

Then there's Emma (Christine Ko), a super-savvy—and sassy—social media marketer, and Mason (Shawn Brown), who attempts to make a bow-tie into a rugged fashion accessory.

After years of field reporting and editorial guidance from Roland (Stephen Fry), the magazine's founder, Jack must now report to Roland's daughter, Brooke (Susannah Fielding), who also happens to be a former one-night stand.

Got all that?

Luckily, Jack's best friend, Eddie (Chris Williams), runs a local dive bar and helps his outdoor-loving pal make sense of this new social-media obsessed world.

Watch the series premiere of The Great Indoors on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 8:30/7:30c following The Big Bang Theory. Until then, head over to CBS All Access for a look at all the new shows coming to CBS this fall.
