Luke Roberts began his career by training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2000. Soon after, Roberts appeared in Steven Spielberg's television series Band of Brothers and later starred in the British series Crossroads and Holby City.
His additional television appearances include the limited event series The Dovekeepers, the miniseries Wolf Hall, opposite Damian Lewis and Mark Rylance, a recurring role on Taxi Brooklyn, and guest roles in Game of Thrones and Reign. Recently, Roberts completed his third season starring as Woodes Rogers in the cable series Black Sails.
Roberts's film credits include Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, 300: Rise of an Empire, and the title role in Dracula: The Dark Prince, opposite Jon Voight.
