The Gaelic meaning of her name is "sadness," and she lives up to it as she valiantly fights a fatal case of consumption. Ethan Chandler is madly in love with the doomed Brona, but it is Dr. Frankenstein who has ultimate unholy plans for her.

Dr. Frankenstein revives the corpse of the poor Irish immigrant Brona Croft and creates Lily, his most magnificent creation yet. Intended as a mate for The Creature, Lily soon establishes herself as a vibrant, unpredictable force in her own right, who captivates many men besides her intended.

Billie Piper starred for four seasons as the lead role of Belle de Jour in the hit SHOWTIME series SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL, which delved inside the life of a legal secretary moonlighting as a high-end call girl. She also starred as Rose Tyler on the long-running smash hit BBC series DOCTOR WHO.
Additional screen credits include leading roles in the BBC's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, THE RUBY IN THE SMOKE, MANSFIELD PARK, and THE SHADOW IN THE NORTH.
