NWSL Schedule 2025: How To Watch Live NWSL Matches

The 2025 National Women's Soccer League regular season kicks off Friday, March 14, and the storylines are already off and running. Can Marta and the Orlando Pride defend their NWSL Championship (and their NWSL Shield award)? Will Trinity Rodman and the Washington Spirit avenge their 1-0 loss in the ultimate match to the Pride? What other teams will emerge as top contenders? Only time – and a whole lot of big plays on the field – will tell.

Here's what you need to know to follow the action, and stream select NWSL matches from the opening weeks of the season, all the way to playoffs and the 2025 NWSL Championship, live on Paramount+.

What is the NWSL?

The NWSL, or National Women’s Soccer League, is billed as the "premier women’s professional soccer league in the world." In 2025, 14 teams will compete: Angel City FC; Bay FC; Chicago Stars FC; Houston Dash; Kansas City Current; Gotham FC; North Carolina Courage; Orlando Pride; Portland Thorns FC; Racing Louisville FC; San Diego Wave FC; Seattle Reign FC; Utah Royals FC; and the Washington Spirit. Each team will compete in 26 regular-season matches – 13 at home, and 13 on the road. The season will culminate with the 2025 NWSL Championship, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, and set to air live on CBS and stream live on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan.

As an FYI, two expansion teams, the Bos Nation FC, and the as-yet unnamed Denver franchise, are due to begin play in 2026, and make the NWSL a 16-team league. 

When is the 2025 NWSL Championship?

As noted, the 2025 NWSL Championship is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22. The big match will air live on CBS, and stream live on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan.

The NWSL Championship dates back to the league's 2013 inaugural season. Portland Thorns FC was the first champion; the club has gone on to win two more titles. Its total of three championships is the most of any NWSL team.

Where can I watch NWSL matches live?

During the 2025 season, NWSL matches will air live on a variety of channels and services. CBS is set to air 14 live matches. All of those matches can be watched on TV via your local CBS station, and streamed live on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan. Additionally, 39 matches will stream live on Paramount+ (any plan).
