The 2024 National Women's Soccer League regular season is in full swing. Can the NJ/NY Gotham FC defend its 2023 championship? Will Sophia Smith, the league's top-paid player, lead the Portland Thorns FC to glory? And how will elite stars Alex Morgan and Trinity Rodman, of the San Diego Wave FC and Washington Spirit, respectively, fare? Only time – and a whole lot of action on the field – will tell.

What is the NWSL?

The NWSL, or National Women’s Soccer League, is comprised of 14 teams: the Angel City FC; Bay FC; Chicago Red Stars; Houston Dash; Kansas City Current; NJ/NY Gotham FC; North Carolina Courage; Orlando Pride; Portland Thorns FC; Racing Louisville FC; San Diego Wave FC; Seattle Reign FC; Washington Spirit; and the Utah Royals. Northern California's Bay FC and the Utah Royals are in their inaugural NWSL seasons. In 2024, each NWSL team will compete in 26 regular-season matches – 13 at home, and 13 on the road. The full schedule is set to culminate with the NWSL Championship.

The 2024 NWSL regular season kicked off on Saturday, March 16. It is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, Nov. 3. The 2024 NWSL Championship, set for Saturday, Nov. 23, is scheduled to air live on CBS, and stream live on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan.

Where can I watch NWSL matches live?

You can watch select NWSL matches live on CBS, and on Paramount+ via the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan, starting with a Washington Spirit-NJ/NY Gotham FC showdown on Saturday, April 20.

Under a new deal between the NWSL and CBS Sports, up to 12 NWSL matches, including postseason showdowns and the NWSL Championship, will be broadcast annually live on CBS, and streamed live on Paramount+ via the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan.
