Meet the star of the new CBS procedural Limitless

Meet Jake McDorman, who stars as Brian Finch on the new CBS procedural drama Limitless. His character, after discovering the brain-boosting power of a mysterious drug called NZT, becomes an asset to the FBI by helping them solve cases with his extraordinary cognitive abilities. Off-screen, the 28-year-old is just as cool as his Limitless character. Here's what you should know about the leading man:
1. He grew up in Dallas, Texas.
Jake says it's not common to dream of being an actor where he's from, but his parents supported him when he moved to LA at 17.
2. He loves his cat, Boo.
3. His acting resume is already really impressive.
He's starred in hit films like American Sniper and Live Free or Die Hard, as well as popular television programs including Shameless, Manhattan Love Story, and Greek.
4. He's an avid video gamer.
5. He studied acting at the Dallas Young Actors Studio and Performing Arts Center.

When attending the Oscar Awards for his role in American Sniper, He rocked a pair of cufflinks designed by Emma Watson for the HeForShe campaign, a United Nations Solidarity Movement for Gender Equality.
7. This isn't his first rodeo with Bradley Cooper.
Bradley Cooper starred in the cinematic version of Limitless in 2011. After the pair worked together on 2014’s award-winning film American Sniper, Cooper helped McDorman embrace his role as Brian Finch.
