Susannah Fielding is an English television, film and theater actress. She is often recognized for her role in the BAFTA Award-winning series “Wallander,” alongside Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hiddleston. THE GREAT INDOORS marks Fielding’s onscreen debut in the U.S.

Her additional television credits include guest roles in the British series “Doctor Who,” “Pete Versus Life” and “Scrotal Recall.” Also, Fielding appeared in the television movies “The Great Fire” and “The C-Word.”

Fielding has amassed a number of theater credits, most recently appearing on stage playing Portia in the 2014 RSC production of “The Merchant of Venice” at the Almeida Theatre in London. The play, directed by Rupert Goold and set in modern-day Las Vegas, marked a role reprisal for Fielding, who played Portia opposite Patrick Stewart in 2011. For her performance, Fielding won a 2014 Ian Charleson Award, a distinction which celebrates the best young classical stage performances in the UK.

Also, Fielding has appeared in “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Philistines” and “The Rose and the Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other,” at the National Theater in London. Her additional theater credits include Henry Ibsen’s “An Enemy of the People,” for which she was nominated for a 2010 Ian Charleson Award; “All New People, written by and starring, Zach Braff; “American Psycho;” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Fielding’s feature film credits include “4.3.2.1.,” “Kill Keith” and “The Knot.”

Fielding is a native of Havant, a town located in the county of Hampshire, England. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
