Noah Wyle is an Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee who is perhaps best known for his award-winning work for 12 seasons on the hit television drama ER. In his role as Dr. John Carter, Wyle became known to audiences worldwide. Most recently, he starred in and executive produced the fantasy-adventure series The Librarians and starred in and served as a producer on the sci-fi series Falling Skies.

Wyle's other television credits include the roles of Steve Jobs in the Emmy Award-nominated television movie Pirates of Silicon Valley and Flynn Carsen in The Librarian television movie trilogy, including The Librarian: Quest for the Spear, The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, and The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice.

His feature film credits include Oliver Stone's drama W, in which he starred as Secretary of Commerce Don Evans, the Rod Lurie-directed drama Nothing but the Truth, with Angela Basset and Kate Beckinsale, and William Olsson's An American Affair with Gretchen Mol. Also, he starred in and associate produced The Myth of Fingerprints. Additional film credits include White Oleander, Enough, Donnie Darko, Swing Kids, A Few Good Men, The Californians, and Queen of the Lot. Most recently, he played Mark in Jeremy Kagan's Shot and appeared in Mark Felt, produced by Ridley Scott.

He is involved in numerous issue-oriented initiatives, including serving as national spokesperson for Cover the Uninsured Week, an unprecedented effort to bring awareness to the 44 million Americans who have no health coverage. In 2012 Wyle advocated his support for the disability rights group ADAPT, a group of activists striving to prevent cuts in Medicaid. His other philanthropic involvement includes work with Doctors of the World, Human Rights Watch and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Wyle was born and raised in Hollywood and currently lives in Los Angeles. His birthday is June 4.
