Biography

Juliet Rylance has fostered an impressive body of work in film, television and theatre. She is perhaps best known to television audiences for her portrayal of Cornelia Robertson in the television series “The Knick,” opposite Clive Owens. Recently, Rylance finished filming “A Dog’s Purpose,” directed by Lasse Hallstrom, which centers on a devoted dog, voiced by Bradley Cooper, set to be released January 2017. In addition, she will appear in “Love After Love,” opposite Chris O’Dowd and directed by Russ Harbaugh. In addition, Rylance produced and co-starred in “Days and Nights,” a modern-day film adaptation of the Chekhov play “The Seagull,” opposite Katie Holmes. The film made its world premiere at the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival and was released in 2014. Her additional film credits include “Sinister,” opposite Ethan Hawke, the Golden Globe nominated film “Frances Ha,” “Adam Shaw” and “Animal.” For her work on the stage, Rylance received an Obie Award for her performance as Rosalind in “As You Like It,” and was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for her performance as Desdemona in “Othello.” Her additional theatre credits include “Three Sisters,” Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet,” Miranda in “The Tempest” and Perdita in “The Winter’s Tale,” among many others.
