Posted on Mar 5, 2025 | 09:00am
March is the start of Daylight Savings Time, but while you may lose an hour, you gain a slew of must-see shows, movies, live sports, and more on Paramount+. Check out the thrilling drama series Happy Face, inspired by a true-life story and starring Annaleigh Ashford and Dennis Quaid, as well as MobLand, a brand-new drama from noted filmmaker Guy Richie, and starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren.

Mad about sports? Good news: March means March Madness®. CBS Sports will present select live games from the drama-packed NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. Or maybe you’re riveted by reality-competition shows. Paramount+ has those, too, including The Amazing Race, which has a new season headed your way.

March also happens to be a great month to peruse some great Paramount+ TV and film collections, like the Women Who Move Mountains collection, and – because there’s no better time than the present to celebrate SpongeBob SquarePants’ greatest (and tiniest) villain – the Plankton collection.

So, read on to get our comprehensive Paramount+ viewing guide for March. The days from now on? Longer and longer. The entertainment options? Awesomer and awesomer.

And please note: Certain shows, live sports, movies, and events, including CBS Sports' live March Madness® games, stream on the Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan only.

New shows on Paramount+ in March 2025

Happy Face (series premiere) (March 20)
The Paramount+ original drama series Happy Face is inspired by the real-life tale of Melissa G. Moore, who at the age of 15 discovered that her beloved father was the prolific serial killer known as the Happy Face Killer.

Jumping off from Moore’s true story – as well as the critically acclaimed Happy Face podcast from iHeartPodcasts and Moore, and the autobiography Shattered Silence, by Moore with M. Bridget Cook – Happy Face follows Melissa (Tony Award® winner and Emmy Award® nominee Annaleigh Ashford) and her incarcerated father, the Happy Face Killer himself (played by Emmy®- and Golden Globe® nominee Dennis Quaid). After decades of no contact, the imprisoned dad finds a way back into his now-grown daughter’s life. It’s a race against the clock as Melissa realizes that an innocent man may be put to death for a crime her father committed. Throughout the show, Melissa discovers the impact that her own flesh and blood has had on victims’ families, and must face a reckoning of her own identity.

In addition to Ashford and Quaid, Happy Face stars James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne, and Benjamin Mackey. The show is scheduled to premiere Thursday, March 20, with two episodes, exclusively on Paramount+. New episodes will drop on Thursday through the season finale.

MobLand (series premiere) (March 30)
From executive producer Guy Richie, MobLand is the highly anticipated new global organized crime series. Power is up for grabs as the Harrigans and the Stevensons, two warring London crime families, clash in a kill-or-be-killed battle that threatens to topple empires and ruin lives. Caught in the crossfire is Harry Da Souza, the street-smart ‘fixer’ as dangerous as he is handsome, who knows too well where loyalties lie when opposing forces collide. As kingdom goes up against kingdom, lines will be crossed – and the only saving grace is a bet-your-life guarantee: family above everything.

MobLand boasts a star-studded cast that includes Academy Award® nominee Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Academy Award® winner Helen Mirren (1923). Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber also star.

Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas (March 4)
This three-part, true-crime docuseries follows the criminal investigation of a cast member from the SHOWTIME® reality show Gigolos.

A cultural phenomenon of the 2010s, Gigolos followed the hilarious hijinks of five gigolos in Las Vegas. But when one of the show’s reality stars was convicted for killing a client in 2020, the event shattered the boundaries between reality TV and grim reality.

Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas weaves together the story of this tragic case with footage from the Gigolos reality series, offering a unique perspective on Las Vegas, sex work, reality television, stardom, and the particulars of a murder investigation. One major question drives the narrative: What possessed this reality TV star – a man who preached a mantra of love and light – to carry out such a brutal crime?

All three episodes of Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas premiere Tuesday, March 4, exclusively on Paramount+.

And if you want to go back for a deep dive, all six seasons of Gigolos are now streaming on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan only

Women Who Move Mountains collection
March is Women’s History Month, so it’s the perfect time to check out (or revisit) the Women Who Move Mountains collection on Paramount+. This curated compendium of films and TV series, created by, starring, and about women, is both exciting and varied. Among its movies, you can find comedies like the 2004 classic Mean Girls (and the 2024 Mean Girls musical, too), 80 For Brady, Lost City, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. There are horror films, such as Scream VI, A Quiet Place: Day One, and Smile 2, sci-fi entries like Star Trek: Section 31, and even Audrey Hepburn classics, including Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Roman Holiday. There are great documentaries, too, such as Woman in Motion, the story of Nichelle Nichols – the Star Trek franchise's original Lt. Uhura – and her tireless efforts to diversify the U.S. space program, June, the tale of country legend June Carter Cash, and Black Box Diaries, journalist Shiori Itō's real-time investigation of her rape accusations (plus a 2025 Academy Award® nominee for Best Documentary Feature Film).

The Women Who Move Mountains collection also features an array of TV comedies, from I Love Lucy, to Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and Ghosts. There are talk shows, including episodes from the infectiously fun The Drew Barrymore Show. And there are outstanding drama series, such as Yellowjackets, Lioness, and School Spirits. You'll find female crime busters in such shows as Matlock, Elsbeth, and NCIS: Hawai’i, and female gut-busters in series such as Broad City. So, whether you’re in the mood for drama, laughs, gasps, or more, the Women Who Move Mountains collection has tons of iconic options to stream during March – and all year-round.

Recently premiered on Paramount+

1923 (Season 2)
A Yellowstone origin story from Yellowstone co-creator and Academy Award® nominee Taylor Sheridan, 1923 follows Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) and Jacob Dutton (Academy Award® nominee Harrison Ford) as they face drought, pandemic, and the looming Great Depression in the Prohibition-era Mountain West.

Season 2 finds a cruel winter bringing new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob and Cara at Dutton Ranch. Will their nephew, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar), successfully make an overseas journey back to Montana in time to save his kin and reunite with his lost love Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer)? Or will cruel weather conditions and adversaries forever change the Dutton legacy as we know it?

In addition to Ford, Mirren, Sklenar, and Schlaepfer, the new season stars Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton, and cast newcomer Jennifer Carpenter.

1923 Season 2 premiered on Feb. 23, exclusively on Paramount+. New episodes will drop weekly on Sundays through the season finale.

Yellowjackets (Season 3)
Yellowjackets tells the story of a high-school girls soccer team that – post-airplane crash – becomes stranded deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story, and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles the group’s erosion from one thriving unit into multiple savage clans, while also tracking the lives that the surviving team members have attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later.

In Season 3, the teens see a fragile victory: The brutal winter that nearly claimed them has ended. But distrust in leadership, as well as tension among the team members, jeopardizes the  group’s chances of being rescued. In the present day, long-buried secrets from the women’s pasts begin to surface. As they fight to keep their lives from unraveling, these former Yellowjackets confront a chilling question: who are they really, and what dark truths are they hiding from each other, and from themselves?

This Emmy®-nominated show stars Emmy® nominees Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, and Lauren Ambrose, as well as Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole,  Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessell, with Elijah Wood returning in a recurring role. Two-time Academy Award®-winner Hilary Swank guest stars, along with Joel McHale.

Yellowjackets Season 3 premiered on Feb. 14. New episodes drop weekly on Fridays through the season finale.

Please note: Yellowjackets Season 3 and Yellowjackets Season 2 stream on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan only. Yellowjackets Season 1 is available to binge-watch now on Paramount+ with any Paramount+ plan.
